TMA Instructors
All teachers must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in music or the equivalent training and the approval of the Trinity Music School Advisory Board. They must have a testimony of salvation and philosophy of presenting music which is God-honoring, skill and accomplishment oriented, all offered in a spirit of humility.

Carol Anderson Flute
Carol started flute lessons in the fourth grade and was involved in band, orchestra, and small groups throughout her school years. She started teaching lessons at Trinity Baptist Church 13 years ago and has seen some students continue on with flute in their college years. Carol participates in the music ministry at Trinity with flute and also sings in the Choir and Ladies’ Ensembles.

Lorrie Dodson Piano/Organ
A native of North Carolina, Lorrie studied piano with Dr. Margaret Evans at Meredith College and organ with Virginia Vance at Peace College. She earned the Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Bob Jones University where she studied organ with Dr. Ed Dunbar and choral conducting with Dr. Warren Cook. In 2007, Lorrie participated in a series of organ recitals highlighting the music of Baroque composers. She holds memberships in the American Guild of Organists and the American Choral Directors Association. Lorrie currently teaches piano and organ and conducts the secondary choirs at TCS.

Julie Flint Piano
Julie began taking lessons in 2nd grade and began accompanying in her local church in Jr. High/High School. She graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a BA in Music Education. Upon graduating she taught private lessons and music theory at Pensacola Christian Academy for two years. After moving to NH with husband and TCS Principal, Peter Flint, she joined the TCS faculty teaching elementary music, Jr. High Chorus and private lessons. Julie enjoys teaching children and hopes to instill an enthusiasm and love for music that can be used in ministry to glorify the Lord.
Julie also directs the Made for Praise Children's Choir, sings and accompanies the Ladies Ensemble, and is an accompanist for church hymn singing.

Kristy Hall Piano
Kristy has a B.S. in Piano Pedagogy from Bob Jones University. She is in her third year of teaching piano to beginner students as well as advanced students. Kristy is teaching 41 students this year as well as instructing Tiny Tunes, a music ministry for children from 18 months to 5 years-old. Kristy also accompanies the Junior Choir at Trinity Christian School and sings in the Church Choir and Ladies' Ensemble at Trinity Baptist Church.

Merrillan began playing the violin at age 6 and has studied under the direction of Dr. Robert Opelt, Bruce Patti, Ron Neil, and Dr. Alberto Jaffe. Through the encouragement of Dr. Jaffe, she began studying viola. In 2003 Ms. Melberg graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a BA in Music. She returned to her home in Texas where she started a string program at Buckingham North Christian School and was a lead string teacher for the Cross Timbers Youth Orchestra. Ms. Melberg completed a MM in viola performance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2008, and teaches private violin and viola lessons.

Jeff Smith Trumpet
Jeff has played the trumpet for 30 years, and has been giving lessons for six years. He received a musical leadership scholarship at Gordon College, where he participated in various ensembles, including a brass quintet which traveled extensively and did some recording. He has a B.A. in English and has nearly completed his M. Ed. in History at Bob Jones University. He plays with the Trinity Brass Ensemble and sings in the choir. Jeff and his wife Jennifer have four girls.

Kristin Stephenson Piano
Since beginning piano studies at age three, Kristin Stephenson has won numerous awards, including first prize in the International Young Artist Piano Competition in Washington, D.C. Miss Stephenson is a graduate of The Juilliard School, where she studied with Oxana Yablonskaya, Robert McDonald, and Yoheved Kaplinsky.
A dedicated teacher for over ten years, Miss Stephenson currently teaches in her private studio and at the Trinity Music Academy in Concord, New Hampshire. Her students have won numerous awards at competitions, including the Granite State Auditions, Connecticut International Young Artist Competition, and Steinway Society Piano Competition. Miss Stephenson serves regularly as an adjudicator and has performed in the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, and in Spain and Germany.

Sarah Whitehouse Piano
Sara began taking lessons at age 5. She studied at the West Hartford School of Music throughout her high school years. Sara attended Bob Jones University graduating with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance. She continued post-college studies in Boston with Jacqueline Gourdin and Juanita Tsu, and went on to get a Master of Music at the University of Massachusetts. Sara has taught privately for over 20 years and is currently on the music faculty at TMA. She is also involved in the music ministry at Trinity Baptist Church. As a teacher, her goal is to help her students reach their potential musically, to teach them a love and appreciation for music, and to equip them to serve the Lord wherever God leads them. Sara resides in Loudon with her husband, Peter. They have three daughters.
