Sing for Joy!
Sing for Joy! is a chorus for children ages Kindergarten-2nd grade. The children have the opportunity to sing in a large group and learn to blend their voices to make a joyful noise. Mrs. Julie Flint is the director and Mrs. Kristy Hall is the accompanist.
Sing for Joy! meets Sunday evenings from 5:30 - 5:50 in Room 111 (Awana Room). At the beginning of the 5:00 Hour, you may drop your children off in Room 115 (K5) or 117 (1st and 2nd) with their classroom teacher. The teacher brings them to the Awana Room for Chorus at the appropriate time, and you will pick them up from the Awana Room.
The chorus ministers in song during the first Sunday evening of each month. A flyer is sent home the week prior as a reminder. This is a wonderful opportunity to invite unsaved family and friends.
As a parent, your faithfulness is necessary to help your child be a faithful singer at rehearsal each week. Because the choir sings once a month, the ideal would be to attend at least 3 of the 4 rehearsals. However, if your child does miss a rehearsal, this does not mean he is "out of the choir." He should come back the next week and pick up learning where he left off.
Made for Praise
Made for Praise is a choir designed specifically for children grades 3-6 to learn to sing praise to the Lord with all their heart. The children learn to make a joyful noise through fun songs, rounds, Scripture songs, spirituals, and children's choral songs. Mrs. Julie Flint is the choir director and Mrs. Kristy Hall is the accompanist.
We meet in the Awana Room (111) each Sunday evening from 5:00 - 5:25. (Sing for Joy! is available for K-2, and preschool and nursery are available for ages 0-4).
